Highlight organic architecture through elegant, versatile, and reliable linear illumination

There are moments in design when technology finally catches up to imagination.
For years, architects have been pushing the boundaries of form; crafting sweeping curves, organic facades, and fluid structures that seem to flow like water or dance like fabric in the wind. But while architecture evolved, lensed lighting often lagged behind, constrained by rigid lines and inflexible fixtures.

Coolon’s new eLi changes that story.

“eLi is The ultimate linear wall-grazer/washer for outdoor curved architecture.”

- Juan, Architectural Technical Manager, Coolon

A New Language of Light

eLi is more than a luminaire, it’s a tool for storytelling in architecture. Its modular, semi-rigid form bends with grace, following the most intricate curves and contours without interruption. Where straight luminaires create awkward breaks, eLi flows seamlessly, grazing light along the architecture as if it were part of the original design.

Whether it’s a sweeping bridge, a serpentine public walkway, or the delicate curvature of a building facade, eLi transforms illumination into an extension of the structure’s own movement.

Beauty That Lasts

Design is nothing without durability and eLi delivers both.
Crafted from cast aluminium with a layered marine-grade finish, topped with a high-grade powder coat, and encapsulated in Coolon’s signature polyurethane seal, eLi achieves IP66 and IK10 ratings. This means it stands resilient against driving rain, coastal air, and public space wear and tear.

This robust engineering is paired with practicality: tool-free connectors and the ability to run up to 60 metres from a central feed make installation as elegant as the finished result.

Empowering Creative Freedom

With Single White precision or RGBW vibrancy, eLi invites designers to shape light with the same artistry they shape space. Engineered optics ensure flawless colour mixing, free of artefacts, and maintain a consistent, beautiful wash across any surface.

Custom painted finishes add another layer of design freedom, allowing eLi to disappear into the architecture or stand out as a deliberate visual signature.

Part of a Proven Legacy

eLi builds on the design heritage of Coolon’s popular semi-rigid luminaires, Aduro CL and Alto CL, bringing their celebrated flexibility into the outdoor space. Now, architectural designers can enjoy the same adaptability in environments that demand extreme durability.

Australian Ingenuity for the World Stage

Proudly designed and manufactured in Australia, eLi embodies Coolon’s vision: to create elegant, robust, efficient and reliable products. It’s the next evolution in our architectural range, complementing icons like Plume, and can be integrated into broader lighting systems for total creative control.

Light Without Compromise

With eLi, Coolon has solved one of architectural lighting’s greatest challenges: creating a fixture that is at once flexible, durable, and beautiful. It doesn’t force architecture to adapt to the lighting - it allows the lighting to adapt to the architecture.

eLi gives designers the freedom to dream bigger, knowing that their vision will shine exactly as imagined, and endure for years to come.
