When You Can't Mount to the Ceiling, Don't Compromise the Aesthetic.

Not every building allows ceiling-mounted emergency lighting. Exposed structure, height, glass roofs or design intent can rule it out entirely. EMA CUBE is Coolon's answer - an architectural aluminium wall light rated IP66/IK08, built to deliver compliant emergency illumination without the industrial look of a standard emergency floodlight.

The problem with typical suspended exits:

The default wall-mounted emergency solution; a utilitarian floodlight - throws light at eye level, creating glare, and its industrial housing isn't designed for spaces where finish matters. It's also not built to survive exposure to the elements in the way EMA CUBE is.

EMA CUBE: An Alternative to Traditional Emergency Floodlights

  • Architectural aluminium cube design - reads as a design element, not compliance hardware
  • IP66/IK08 - rated for outdoor and exposed environments including carparks
  • Same cost as a standard floodlight
  • Black or white housing to match interior colour scheme
  • Coverage of 17.6m x 26.3m at 5m mounting height (spacing tightens at lower mounting heights)
  • Optional heater variant for -25°C freezer applications
  • 5-year warranty, AS/NZS 2293.3 compliant

Poolside emergency lighting is a recurring specification headache - ceiling mounting is rarely viable and standard floodlights don't belong in that setting. EMA CUBE's wall-mount format and IP66 rating make it a natural fit for pool halls and similar exposed, aesthetic-sensitive spaces.
