LED lights contain no moving parts, burning filaments or sacrificial elements. As a solid state light source LEDs are resistant to vibration, impact and shock proof. This allows us to build products that are tough, robust and require virtually no maintenance.
Most conventional gas discharge lights have a lifespan of under 20,000 hours. Whereas, Coolon LED lights can expect to last well over 3-5 times as long. For example, a Coolon LED light that is on for 12 hours per day, would take over 11 years before the output decreases by 30% of its original intensity.
LED fittings have a much lower surface temperature than traditional HID equivalents which prevents dirt from baking onto the luminaire. This allows for easier cleaning and will prolong the lifespan of the light.
Whilst conventional gas discharge lamps generally require substantial time to warm up or even longer to restart after a power failure or a glitch, Coolon LED luminaires will start instantly, at full brightness, every time. Instant on to 100% output translates to no downtime, improved safety and the ability to utilize sensor switching to significantly save energy.
Coolon’s white LED lights emit light with a spectrum closely resembling that of a midafternoon daylight, a time of day when people are most active. This enables people to be more productive and alert throughout the night.
Colour differentiation ability is enhanced under the white LED light. The produced light has a relatively full spectrum with a high colour rendering index (much higher than industry standard, gas discharge lamps).
Many conventional gas discharge lamps are required to be placed in a specific orientation to achieve the planned useful life and performance during operation. These lamps are strictly limited to the position that they have been designed for. Coolon’s LED Luminaires do not have any restrictions on its position or orientation and can be turned in any desired way without affecting the lifespan of the product.
LED lights run on constant low voltage DC power and do not produce any visible stroboscopic effects, thus reducing the strain on eyes and significantly improving safety in areas where moving machinery is present.
Coolon’s Industrial lights are designed specifically to withstand the harsh conditions of mining environments. They are built solid and water tight. Lights can be washed under high pressure, even during operation.
Mine sites are often located in areas with severe temperature variations. Coolon’s products are designed to remain unaffected and actively manage their own performance parameters to be able to survive in these environments.
